Jason’s e-collar training is a game changer! Our sweet girl couldn’t go on walks without freaking out at every single car, biker, walker, or runner. We live in a busy area! She’s a sheltie and came from a working sheltie farm where the dogs actually tend sheep. Maizy decided cars were her sheep. It was so hard! We had two very close calls with her almost being hit. We tried so many training approaches and nothing worked. Then we hired Jason and in about 8 weeks, I’m walking her 5 miles and taking her on adventures she never could before. She is much more calm and in a better headspace herself. She loves walks now and so do we! Life-Changing E-Collar Training—Highly Recommend Jason! Jack was our third rescue, and the first to truly test our patience and empathy. The e-collar training that our dog Hazel went through with Jason at Full Spectrum Dog Training has been life changing. For Hazel and for our family. I don't even know where to begin with the ways in which e-collar training has improved the quality of life for all of us. Hazel has much more confidence, gets to go on more walks and can generally frolic about outside much more than ever before, including off leash. She's so happy. And for us, it makes walks so much less stressful (with less tugging, barking, wild leaping at other dogs, etc.) and has helped us get a grip on the barky/jumpy chaos that used to ensure when people visited. Even before switching to the e-collar, Jason's kind, understanding and collaborative approach to general dog training was helping – but then the e-collar helped us get over the major hurdles with Hazel much quicker. Every dog is different, but if anyone can help dogs become more confident and easier to manage, it's definitely Jason at Full Spectrum. The difference in our dog is just so amazing to see. Side note – Full Spectrum was recommended to me by a neighbor whose dog was WAY more behaved then mine when we crossed paths in the neighborhood. Grand Rapids and its dogs are lucky to have such a great trainer here. He really treats dogs with respect and heart, and he's brilliant at creating positive change in them.

We absolutely loved working with Jason at Full Spectrum Dog Training! His pricing was very fair for our two pups and he was very willing to work with us at multiple locations which was great exposure for our dogs! Jason helped up navigate acclimating our new puppy who came with some bad habits and reining in our excitable 4 year old dog (both German shepherd mixes) through his E-collar program! We have just completed the program and our house is calmer, our dogs walk great, their recall is much improved, and we are all much happier together! I highly recommend Jason! I had serious doubts whether my highly sensitive, traumatized rescue could be e-collar trained, but Jason did it! He was very sweet and gentle with Cassie as he slowly got her to accept the e-collar. It really only took a few sessions with Jason. The results are fantastic! Cassie is able to run and play and investigate on our property off leash!! She even comes immediately under high distraction (deer and rabbits). All of our lives are more enjoyable now, thanks to Jason! She has earned her freedom, as Jason teaches!
