Jodi is an amazing dog trainer and an amazing human being. She cares so deeply about the dogs and their families. We found Jodi through the dog rescue that I also volunteer for. One of the dogs that we adopted had the most severe separation anxiety that we had ever seen. We called Jodi in a total panic and weren't sure what to do with him. She took him into her home for a board and train program and he returned home about 2 weeks later a completely different dog. He is trained with basic manners, he can be alone and not scream and cry and he an amazing little dog now. I was afraid that with the ideology of a dog trainer that he would be not loved on, and that was simply not true. Jodi gave Cooper the most love possible, she snuggled him, rocked him in a rocking chair and trained him amazingly. Jodi uses positive reinforcement and the dogs are never scared or nervous. She is amazing and I recommend her, above any other dog trainer.

We adopted a rescue pup who had been fostered with Jody for a little bit of time and from her explanation of how the dog came to her and the dog we were meeting, we knew it was a night and day difference. However, our girl is still shy and skittish around people. We took Jody’s training course for fearful dogs and learned great ways to help foster trust with our new dog, establish routines, and advance her confidence. We have been using Jody’s “triangle method” to keep making progress. Additionally, we learned more about levels of adrenaline and how to minimize overt excitement. We have not been with our rescue long, but in the short time she has been home, she has started to engage with us more, play with toys, and seems like an overall happy puppy. I would recommend Jody’s class to learn more about dog behaviors and useful techniques to improve trust and relationships.
