FirstBarkI met with Jodi virtually in preparation for bringing home a very fearful rescue dog from Big Bones. She gave me great advice. I am better able to look for cues and work through the things that frighten Charlotte, my little 7 year old Yorkie.

FurEver Home Dog Training helps dogs, puppies and rescues overcome behavior challenges through calm leadership, connection, and understanding. Created by professional dog trainer Jodi Little, The CALM DOG Connection teaches owners how to build trust, reduce stress, and create lasting behavior change without relying on correction-based methods. We help with separation anxiety, leash pulling, excessive barking, jumping, destructive behaviors, reactivity and aggression-related behaviors, fear, resource guarding, rescue dog and puppy mill transitions, potty training, and more. Local private lessons are available in Fort Collins, Colorado, and virtual training is available nationwide. Our mission is helping more dogs stay in their FurEver Homes.

We had a newly adopted dog that became very fearful after being with us for a week of to. This resulted in her hiding in a corner for 3 days. We enlisted the help of Jodi as she works with the rescue we adopted Betty from. Jodi was instrumental in helping us get Betty back into the part of the house that was her safe space and give us easy tools to follow that helped Betty learn to trust us and gain confidence. Since we live in Denver and Jodi is in Ft Collins we met over video and I was pleasantly surprised at how seamless the process was. I would highly recommend Jodi as a trainer!
Jodi came to our house on a Sunday and we live way out. She helped us work with our high strung mill puppy who was being really aggressive with our other dogs. It took some time but Waffles is getting along with our other dogs and he's is really making progress.
So much insight into how dogs think and how our demeanor and actions can affect them. Lots to learn and stuff we constantly go back to when trying to take care of our scared pup. Worth the price 😁 would recommend

Jodi came out and met our 4 month old Belgian Malinois rescue pup when we needed guidance on how to begin training her. Jodi quickly identified our pup as a "back of the pack" girl and saw that she was taking her ques from our 7lb. Chihuahua. This information enabled us to start working on our new pups confidence and negative behaviors. Jodi also gave us thorough information about how to keep our Mal calm, along with kennel training tips. I highly recommend Jodi for any training, whether it's proactive or in response to behavior issues.
