Jodi has been great to work with. She is not only a unique and amazing dog trainer, but fosters shy, timid and frightened animals. Like many other reviewers, I discovered Jodi after finding an adorable rescue on Big Bones who was under her foster care. After making adoption arrangements, Jodi worked with me to understand the behavior of dogs, especially those with challenges like my dear Stolie, and help ensure I know how to behave so that Stolie understands me, too. I would be totally lost without Jodi's guidance. In just a few days we have made such wonderful progress that would never have been possible without Jodi's wisdom. She's an absolute saint and I would recommend her for anyone with dog training (or owner training) needs.

I worked with Jodi when I was adopting a rescue who was a little timid and shy. Jodi helped me out with several factors, including making sure the cat and dog would be compatible, addressing hesitation the dog had with tall men, and just making the dog comfortable after so much travel and being shuffled around. Her approach is unique in that she meets the dog where they are and taught me how to approach a dog without raising anxiety levels. Overall, I think Jodi is an all around excellent trainer and resource, who is especially adept at understanding dog emotions and working to ensure the owner uses appropriate training techniques to achieve the end goal.

We had a fantastic experience with Jodi learning how to be successful adoptive parents to a very timid rescue dog. She provided a wealth of information to help us read our new dog’s cues and make his transition to our home successful. I am an experienced dog owner but new to the rescue process. I thought a knew a lot about dogs, but the specific tips she gave us were invaluable. Could not imagine this process without her. She is passionate about making sure both dogs and new owners succeed.
