Golden Standard Canine Training

We did the 6 part training for our adult dog Chef with Carissa. She not only addressed each of our dogs specific issues such as leash training, off leash commands, and door guarding but also improved my understanding of how to interact with our dog and give him ways to achieve quick wins, understand what I want him to do, and progress. This training uses an ecollar but mainly positive reinforcement was used throughout and was the primary focus while negative collar reinforcement was used minimally and only to prevent our dog from entering a potentially dangerous situation for itself or others. Couldn't be happier with this training. She gave me the tool set I need to train my dog to overcome current and future issues. Gold Standard Canine Training is a "Good Choice!" as I now say to my dog ;)

Even after just a couple lessons, I could already see a difference in my anxious boy. Carissa has established a flexible and adaptable program and I've enjoyed the last 8 weeks! Affordable, personable, and effective training. YouTube could only take me so far with my boy, who came from an abuse and abandonment case. Mary helped me fill in the gaps—I didn’t know how to approach certain situations or how to treat him, but she guided me through what to do and how to support him. SO grateful for this program and will miss it :)

Carissa and the program at Golden Standard Canine exceeded our expectations and was worth more than every penny. Carissa is both masterful in training dogs, and in training dog owners to train their dogs. We feel prepared to continue successfully working and improving our dog's training.
