I am new to the field of birding dog hunting, with Cosmo being my first GSP, and a friend of mine recommended Jack Hutson. Jack has been an excellent trainer not only for Cosmo, but also for myself in helping me navigate and provide the appropriate training that Cosmo needed. He has an excellent grounds for dog training where he involves the owners themselves. With each experience Jack has provided positive reinforcement, and a very good learning environment that Cosmo enjoys being apart of. My experience that I have had with Hutson Heritage has been pretty awesome! I had just finished the sophomore year with my 2 year old female German Shorthair Heidi and I was aware that there were some things that needed to be fixed if she was going to be the hunting dog I had aspired her to be. She was rushing in on birds when I approached her on her point which is not good. I contacted Jack and told him what was going on and he said bring her up let’s see what we can do. He has a great place for dog training and I like that he involves the owner in the training process. We have done half a dozen training sessions with pigeons and launchers and Heidi is becoming more and more staunch on her point with each session. Jack is very patient with the dog and the owner with his training methods. I would highly recommend Hutson Heritage to anyone who is looking for professional training of their bird dog whether it be a new pup or one with a couple of hunting seasons like my Heidi. Since our first meeting, I knew this was the place for "Archie" and myself. Jack made us feel welcome and from the onset provided individualized instruction and homework each session. Archie never felt pressured and continues to develop every day. I have worked with other trainers over the years, but Jack's process is beyond compare. I reached out to Jack before our family vacation to see if he would be a good fit for our golden retriever to stay with while we were gone. We set up a meeting to make sure that he would be a good fit for Cooper. After meeting Jack I had great confidence that Cooper would be well taken care of. A couple days after dropping him off my confidence in the decision to have Jack board and train Cooper while we were gone grew even more.
