We came to Kat with hopes that we could find a way to make trips to the vet for my fear aggressive dog -Merlin- better. Previously, we had to use anesthesia for any vet visit. Kat has worked with us and our vet over a few months to reach a point where we could have the vet do a physical check with Merlin without fear of a bite! And Merlin feels relaxed and OK. We are super excited to have Kat on our Fear Free team. She and her methodologies work!

Kat has been a lifesaver in helping us with our new puppy! Kat is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and creative, when it comes to challenging situations and creating a positive safe space for the puppy. Not only does she help in training the dog/ puppy, but she helps teach us, the owners as well. We are so fortunate to have found her and we will continue to use her expertise in the months to come. We have had seven sessions with her since bringing home our 3 month old Coton de aTulear and made so much progress. Highly recommend her services!

Kathryn has been amazing! She is an incredibly skilled dog trainer. Right away she had our pups full attention and took time to learn his personality and behavior. We have been working with Kathryn for around 2 months now and the tools and knowledge she provided us has made a big impact on our pups day to day, and taught us the proper way to go about training him. We currently have a 3.5 month old Newfoundland and with his size we have been asking Kathryn for all sorts of tips and training techniques to make sure we have control before he gets too big! We will continue to use Kat for any future training needs as she has created a big, positive impact on our pup!

We have been working with Kat for a few months now. One of our pups is a 6 year old with severe anxiety. Vet visits were stressful for all involved and we were never able to have a full exam. Kat has been working with us on cooperative care. The results are night and day - Kat is amazing! I refer to her as "the miracle worker" or "dog whisperer". What she has been able to accomplish in such a short period of time is astounding. Our last vet visit was a breeze! We can't say enough good things about Kat and recommend her wholeheartedly. Our dog Trixie loves her too - from day one our anxious Trixie welcomed Kat into her very small inner circle of people. She gets super happy when she sees the training items come out and knows Kat is about to show up. If I could give 100 stars, I would! Thank you, Kat!

We love our dog, she's a good girl *mostly* and we felt like we did "all the right things" with puppy training, but knew she had some quirks and behaviors that could make regular, daily life with her uncertain and occasionally, anxiety producing for us all. Kat, with continual positive regard for our dog and us, observed our dog, understood her, translated our dog's communication for us so that we can understand her better. She educated us, gave recommendations, things to practice and homework that has helped our dog and us communicate better, working "with the grain" of how she is wired and our family rhythms. While our dog will always have her own unique quirks, they no longer feel as negative nor do we feel uncertain how to handle the situation. Kat gave us skills to help minimize her high stress situations and to help lower her internal stress mechanisms when she does get uncomfortable. Our dog now has skills and is on a trajectory I couldn't have predicted. Overall, Kat's genuine love for our dog and genuine respect, professionalism and enjoyment of people/owners combined with a genius "dog EQ" makes her a pleasure to work with.
