K9 Role Models

We have a 1 year old labradoodle who is a great family dog but exhibited dog reactivity and disobedience. Our goals were to be able to hike off leash and to be able to walk him on leash without aggression. We worked with Vanessa towards these goals and it was amazing. She trained us to properly handle him and now we can hike off leash with full recall and walk him with no issues. I highly recommend this training to anyone who has similar goals.

Vannessa changed our life! Our one year old doodle is an excited boy and all his energy led to reactivity toward other dogs, anxiety, and not so great leash manners. Now our boy can have other dogs approach him with no issue, can be off leash with our full control, goes in his crate without fussing, and walks like a dream. Vannessa and Jan have been life savers......literally, as we were unsure whether our dog was going to be able to be saved! Our young "working" line doberman has always been anxious and reactive, and was becoming aggressive towards people. After reading K9 Role Model reviews from others with reactive/aggressive dogs, we arranged for an in-home assessment, and found Jan to be very informative, and confidence inspiring, during our meeting. Our dog went for the 2 week boarding training, and returned to us in much better control, is better able to focus and calm herself, responds to commands, and we now have the tools to have her around others safely. She may never love people other than us, that's who she is, but that's fine........with the tools, training, and knowledge, imparted by K9 Role Models we can safely take her around others when necessary. The K9 Role Models teams' understanding of these working breeds, and the services they provide for them, are truly a Godsend! I can't recommend them enough!!!

Vanessa was a life saver for our 2 rescue dogs. They had become reactive and unsafe on leash at times, especially if we were to pass another dog. The training has made it so that we can safely go for walks again, and have more control over behaviors at home. I appreciated that Vanessa was very knowledgeable and sensitive to the mental state of our dogs while training, adjusting her approach as she assessed how our dogs reacted. She had a systematic approach, but it was also personal to our dogs and their personalities. We are so grateful!
