This training has been such a life-changing experience for us. Tommy’s skills, knowledge, expectations, coaching, encouragement, positive reinforcement and compassion all melded to enhance our relationship with a new high-energy pup. Copper is doing well, and he wants to thank Tommy for being so patient with his new parents. He is proud of how well we listened and responded to all commands. Yes, Tommy is a skillful trainer with those on both ends of the leash! Thank you!

Tommy is very very considerate of where you are at in your training journey. We had a new adopted dog who was dealing with some major insecurities & scared of everything. Tommy provided lots of tips & tricks for us to try at home in addition to our weekly training. He always went the extra mile and constantly ensured our dog felt very comfortable with him. He is hyper aware and makes sure you feel comfortable with all the steps he gives. We are very impressed with how far along our dog has come after training and we actually use all of the training we've learned. The other amazing thing about Tommy is he gets equally excited about your pets progress as you do. He checks in to see how things are going and loves seeing videos and pictures of your pets growth. I highly recommend Tommy at K9 Academy and we will continue to use him as needed.

I had such an amazing experience with Tommy! My Aussie has completely transformed and is now so well-behaved. It’s honestly made everyday life so much easier and more enjoyable. What really stood out, though, was the continued support even after training. A few months later, my Aussie suddenly stopped responding to a leash I was using, and I reached out to Tommy. He was responsive, helpful, and quickly helped me find a solution that worked. It’s clear he genuinely cares about both the dogs and their owners, not just during training but long after. I can’t recommend him enough if you’re looking for someone knowledgeable, supportive, and truly invested in your dog’s success!

Tommy is an excellent trainer. I appreciate his teaching philosophy that emphasizes mastery of the core commands (come, sit, place, heel, others). He knows how to make the classes fun, balancing the challenging lessons with play time. My dog Sushi loved working with him, and she wasn’t the only one that learned a lot. Thanks to the course, I feel much more comfortable understanding how I can help Sushi navigate difficult situations better (squirrels, high energy dogs, crowds, …). These days we are able to take plenty of long walks with minimal tugging. The e-collar and off-leash lessons have also been extremely valuable; we now have so much more of the world available to us!
