FirstBarkLisa was extremely helpful in teaching us ways to train our rambunctious puppy! In just 3 weekly in-home sessions we learned so much! We’ve continued to use the techniques she taught us & Caspian is responding very well. We will definitely use Lisa’s services again if we find ourselves needing a refresher at any point.

I have a problem with my puppy, sometimes it seems like she gets the idea that she's gonna do what she wants to do, when she wants to do it and absolutely refuses to obey any commands I give her. (At least the ones I have made an attempt to teach)
That sounds like a typical pup. Busy and easily distracted. Always make certain your pup truly understands what you want before doing any type of correction. We would be happy to help with one of our highly successful In-home Training Programs.

I used this service last year for my anatolian mix, Indigo. I have pretty bad social anxiety so I didn't have the best time with in home training with a stranger, but I was taught some great things that have made life with my dog much easier, who also has social anxiety. It's a match made in dog heaven, except that both of us can react in a pretty grumpy way when faced with new people/animals. We're now able to take him on walks without having to worry about an altercation with another dog, he's able to wear a muzzle at the vet, he leaves our food alone, he gets along with the cats without any fixation issues anymore, and my kid loves having him do tricks. He was always a good pupper, but now we know how to prevent the behavior that gave us anxiety and curb it when he starts to act up.
Our border collie, Oscar, is a beautiful dog, but he barked too much and scared the neighbors and was often aggressive when visitors rang the door bell. Lisa worked with us and advised us on how to communicate with Oscar so that he knows what to do when the door bell rings. Now Oscar is much better behaved. He understands what we want him to do. I can recommend Lisa Smith as a dog trainer without reservation.

Lisa was amazing with my dog. He is wild and crazy and she could calm him down and get him in a mind set to listen and learn. She moved at his learning pace and was patient and kind. I highly recommend the in home training.
