FirstBarkI contacted Ken Shilling via email, requesting to observe a class or two, before investing quite a few hundred dollars in his business. I did not get a response. I heard from a third party that you can go the kennel on Saturday's but you should call ahead instead of email.

is there any cheaper trainer? 1000 is rediculous.
You wanting to send your dog to them, or is this for you and the dog as a team? Either way good training from an extremely good reputable trainer isn't cheap. There's a big difference between going to Petsmart for dog training and going to a professional. That is not an unreasonable amount for a professional.

My dog was a rescue, when I got him he was frantic and unfocused, his personality is what I refer to as an "ADD dog". Ken's obedience training courses not only transformed my pup, but also taught ME how to be a better dog owner. Going to Schilling's was the best decision I have made and our lives are SO much better as a result. I get so many compliments on Monty's behavior from everyone. I have since moved from the area and now drive 10 hrs to board him at Ken's when I travel. That's how much I trust him and his family with my dog.
Excellent trainers on hand to get your dog back into shape,open to all dogs but leans towards protection work witch is very fun .

Paid for two weeks in home training..my dog was never in his home ...he kept him outside...when I picked him up he sometimes would sit at a door..Plus he had a spring collar on..I paid 500 dollars for nothing..when I asked him why wasn’t he in your house his reply was he needs manners first..My lab was worse behaved when he got home than when he left...I would never leave my dog there or recommend him..it was a scam..
