Stronghaus Dog Training Center

Just picked up my 2 year old German Shepard Ruger from Chris yesterday. Came from over an hour away and let me tell you it was well worth it! Chris was so confident with working with Ruger, and training myself. I brought him home and continued to work with him and I see a complete difference. He was so quick to respond to commands and eager to please. Had someone visit the house yesterday and he didn’t leave his “place” (his bed) until I told him “OK”. When before he’d be jumping with excitement. I strongly recommend Stronghaus, and Chris Carr. I am convinced he completely changed Rugers behavior. He is so welcoming and eager to help you with your difficult areas when training your dog. Just remember Chris does the hard part, and your job is to stick with it.

Cammi, my 6 year old pitbull had become increasingly aggressive with strangers and other animals.  After researching and discussing with my vet I scheduled a consultation at Stronghaus with Chris.  My family and I felt this was our last hope to save her from going to a shelter.  Within 10 minutes of her 1st training session, I knew it was absolutely the best thing I could have done for her.  When my family saw her after that initial session they couldn't believe it was the same dog. The training has brought a renewed level of contentment at home as we no longer have to worry about her aggression; a simple heel command and she relaxes while taking her place next to me and then looks to me for instruction.  A "place" command sends her to bed.  I now understand what Chris meant when he said "Your dog should learn to live around you, you shouldn't learn to live around your dog." My family I thank Chris for his excellent training and amazing insight into my dog and the training process.

We are so grateful to Chris and Stronghaus Training Center for helping us train our one year old golden doodle, Harry. Before starting training, we couldn’t even take Harry for a walk because his anxiety was so high and he lunged and barked at cars nonstop. Chris was patient and kind and taught us the proper corrections for Harry, who now loves his long walks! He is able to respond to commands and his behavior and anxiety have improved immensely. We couldn’t be happier with his progress, and definitely recommend Chris to anyone struggling with difficult behaviors! We are also so relieved to know that if any future issues arise, we can also go back and get additional help from Chris. Thanks again!
