Stronghaus Dog Training Center

We just brought home our 9 month old chocolate lab mix from the two week training program. She pulled bad on the leash, jumped and was hard to control when she got overly excited. Well, she's home now and she is a changed girl! I am truly blown away by the change Chris made! She was a hardcore food beggar & we can now tell her to "place" and she will stay on her bed and let us eat in peace! It's like she was reprogrammed! If she falls back into bad habits we now have the knowledge to correct her and keep her on track! The training facility is really beautiful farm & you feel good bringing your dog there! Thanks Chris & the Stronghaus family! Highly recommended!

Our 9 month old male Doberman is a different dog after 2 weeks with Chris. Actually, he was different after only 1 week when we visited for our first hour lesson. Manny now walks on the left side while we have the leash over the right shoulder. We live in center city Philadelphia and there are lots of distractions. But he no longer pulls. Sure, he notices everything and is tempted, but he stays the course with only occasional correction. In fact, I sometimes only need to reach for the leash and he responds before I even make the correction. He keeps pace--fast to slow to fast-- and stops and sits as soon as we stop--no food rewards needed along the way. It's great to have him so focused on us. He knows "place" and can stay there during dinner, not easy when his "place" is near the table. Yet, no begging or crying. He'll wait at doors and steps until he gets the ok from us. Even if we didn't improve an ounce from today, Manny is exactly where we we need him to be for us. But the more we practice/reinforce, the better we become. Chris and his staff are terrific, and clearly they know how to bring out the best in both dog and owner.

Chris really is amazing! We took our stubborn four month puppy to him and after two weeks of training she was like a different dog. Chris is not only a really nice person but a great trainer. When we left our puppy with him she barely knew how to sit. When we visited only after a week she was sitting, laying down, entering her crate, going to her place, and heeling on command. It was incredible! Now that she is home she has still retained the commands and is doing great! Chris is clearly very nice to the dogs and our puppy loved him. If we ever get another dog we are going to take it back to him to be trained. I would highly recommend Stronghaus Dog Training to anyone who wants a well trained dog!
