What ages of dogs can you train at The Academy for Canine Behavior and Training?
We train dogs at any age, from young puppies to senior dogs. Private lessons are open to dogs of all ages, and we tailor each program to your dog’s age, breed, and individual behavior needs. For our Board & Train program, dogs must be at least 4 months old. Beyond that, there is no dog too old for training — we work with adolescent, adult, and senior dogs every day. If your dog needs early socialization, obedience, or a full behavior reset, we’ll help you choose the right program for their stage of life.

How much does board and train cost in Tupelo?
Our Board & Train programs start at $1,820 for basic training. Pricing increases based on the level of training you choose. We also create custom programs when a dog requires additional time or specialized behavioral work. Do you accept puppies in daycare in Tupelo?
Yes, we welcome puppies 4 months and older into our daycare program as long as they are appropriately vaccinated. At this age, puppies are developmentally ready for structured socialization, clear boundaries, and calm play around other dogs. Our trained staff ensures a safe, supervised environment so young dogs build confidence and good habits from the start. If you’re unsure whether your puppy is ready, we’re happy to help you decide.

We had a wonderful experience with our 6 month Yorkiepoo. We were having a lot of issues of her jumping and running out of doors. We did the board and train basic obedience, and she really learned so much. The basic training is all on leash, but it transferred easily too off leash at home. The wait and place have been the most crucial for keeping her from bolting out of doors. We can literally leave the door wide open and she won’t even try to go out. The team at the Academy are so unbelievably knowledgeable and helpful. Even since we’ve left, they have constantly checked in on her progress. We will definitely be using them again for the next dog we get.
Nick and the staff were amazing with Georgia! They sent us daily updates during her training, and it was the highlight of our days! She is doing great back at home now, allowing us to enjoy the puppy phase with less frustration! We will be back for advanced training when she’s older!

I wish I could give The Academy for Canine Behavior more than five stars! If you love your dog but are frustrated by one or more aspects of your dog's behavior, don't hesitate to reach out to Bryan and his team. Bryan has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field, and he takes the time to understand each individual dog and each family's situation to determine the best training approaches. His goal is to help your dog become a happy and valued member of your family, and you will be amazed by the positive changes in your dog after training is completed. Your only regret will be that you didn't come to see Bryan sooner! We have also boarded our dogs at the Academy, and they love it there! The facility is new, clean, and very nice, and the staff are loving and kind. They will take great care of your dog!
One week out from picking my dog up from the enhanced training program and could not be happier!
