What an incredible experience we had with Patrick and The Dog Wizard! Sherlock’s life since we adopted him 4 years ago has been an endless amount of seperation anxiety and resource guarding which particularly for me I had hit a wall and didn’t know where to turn to next. Thanks to Patrick he truly turned Sherlock around into a more confident less anxious dog he listens so much better and now we can walk and take him pretty much anywhere without him being completely freaked out! I cannot say enough good things about The Dog Wizard! My husband Tim and I are eternally grateful!

My wheaten terrier Niko is 1yr and 3 months old and was a huge challenge. I tried multiple trainers with little success. I had many reservations about sending him away for 2 weeks but I finally gave in and decided to try it as a last resort. I was referred to the Dog Wizard and I enrolled Niko. That was the best decision I ever made. Niko was trained by Patrick and he did a fantastic job. The first week of Niko being away was very difficult but it was well worth it. Patrick got rid of all his bad habits and Niko is now so well behaved. I highly recommend the Dog Wizard to anyone having a tough time training their dog. Thank you Patrick!

Where do I begin? Bri at The Dog Wizard has changed our lives! Our sweet lab Toby was pulling me down the street, jumping, lunging at rabbits in the yard and did not like strangers in our home. We looked for trainers in the area and Bri’s name popped up all over the place. Our vet even suggested her and The Dog Wizard to assist. We went for a consult and instantly knew this was the best decision to help us in training Toby. They had him for 2 weeks and we received updates every day with his progress. On pick up day they walked us through everything and showed us exactly what was needed to continue training (which very soon will just be natural). Very excited to join a Saturday class to continue learning and training. It takes a village, and I’m grateful for The Dog Wizard community.

Looking back, I think a board-and-train program would have been a better option for success. We did one hour per week of in-home training with Mike for five weeks. Unfortunately, my husband and Mike were not able to get on the same page with the leash technique used by Dog Wizard, and as a result, Rosy did not graduate from the program. We spent $1,500, which was disappointing, but I do understand why things unfolded the way they did.
That said, we did learn a lot from the in-home training, and I would recommend the board-and-train option for families looking for stronger or more consistent results. Since then, we have switched to using a harness and are seeing much better progress with our puppy.
I also want to note that the staff was wonderful with Rosy when dropping her off for daycare—she really seemed to enjoy it. Thank you for everything you did for her.

After we rescued a deaf 8 month old Weimaraner, the Dog Wizard's 2 week program was a game changer. Odin was difficult to walk and unpredictable around other dogs. After his jump start camp, he gained confidence and understood loose leash commands. It's great knowing that when he needs a refresher, his trainer is able to help correct behavior issues.
