Up A Level K9

1000% recommend Up A Level, they are amazing and the training is literally life changing. My husband and I had been struggling to train our dog for months, he would never listen and had so much crazy energy that we couldn’t keep up with. We brought our dog to UAL for a 3 week training class and are amazed with the progress he made. From the very first phone call, Karen was so great and made us feel so comfortable and confident in her training. When we dropped our dog off, we toured the kennels and she told us all about what our dog would be doing each day, and we met Caleb who would be helping train our dog. I really liked that there are training videos for us as well, so we could learn how to keep the training going at home. Those videos and the private sessions really helped us feel more confident in our ability to maintain all the progress our dog had made. We also got video updates every week so we could see the training in action, follow our dog’s progress, and see how much fun he was having! We’ve had our dog home for a few days now and everything is still going well - we’ve been able to maintain the training and our dog’s behavior is so much better. Doing this training with Karen and UAL was worth every penny and worth every second away from our dog. Next time we need to board our dog or train another one, we will definitely be back to Up A Level!!

Karen exhibits a dedication to her craft that produces well trained dogs. She manages this by continually seeking to expand and improve her expertise, teach her human customers in conjunction with her canis lupus pupils, and by actively listening to the humans who have placed their trust in her. It is likely that she will be a long term member in our educational journey with Princess Isabella Horatio Huntington von Doom (Izzy).

We cannot say ENOUGH incredible things about the amazing team at Up a level K9. We sent our mini bernedoodle, Breck to them at 7 months old for training and as hard as it was dropping our puppy off for weeks we knew right when we got there he was in the best possible hands ever! Throughout his time there Karen provided very consistent videos/pictures to us of his progress and training which made us so happy to see. Fast forward to when it was FINALLY time to go pick him up, we couldn’t be more amazed and astonished at the behavior of Breck. He was like a whole new dog in the best possible way ever. Karen worked with us before our departure home to practice his commands and make him get used to us being the ones now instilling the behavioral actions. Now since being home it has been about 7 months and our lives have changed so much being able to handle breck off leash and seeing him remain his incredible behavior. Examples like being able to simply let him outside without a leash (we do not have a fence), go on walks, take him with us to friends places and breweries, etc. The foundations Karen has instilled will last a lifetime. We recently did a long 10 hour roadtrip out to Colorado with Breck and brining him around town off leash with TONS of other dogs around he did SO good. We received tons of compliments from people just so amazed at him remaining his heal by us as we walked by humans/dogs and how good he was. We were able to sit at multiple restaurants/breweries and he would be right next to us just watching as others passed by. All in all to say, this would not have been possible without the training he received from Up a Level K9! We cannot recommend this team enough - if you are even contemplating it you have to send your pup here. This training will last their entire lives and will change your life as well!! Breck is one incredible dog all thanks to this team!!

I rescued my 2 year old German Shepard 8 months prior to brining her to Up a Level K9. Although she was already a great dog; I had some concerns. She was very reactive to other dogs, was concerned about her running off, among other basic obedience issues. Karen and her team was able to utterly transform my dog in the best way possible. Within in the short time she spent at “Dogville”, I have total confidence in popping my dogs leash off and letting her play in the field, have no worries about interactions with other dogs, and overall have a better relationship with my pup. Karen takes evidence based approaches to training and applies them masterfully. It’s amazing to see her work and explain what exactly is happening in a dogs mind. I can say without a shadow of doubt that the training my pup received has not only improved the quality of our relationship, but increased the happiness and confidence of my pup. I couldn’t recommend Up a Level enough.
