Woof Works Training

My experience with Mike and Woof Works Training has been life-changing. Enzo, my once confident pup, ended up developing some reactivity based off a variety of negative interactions with other dogs. Prior to reaching out to Mike, I consulted with other trainers, did online courses and nothing seemed to stick. The piece about Mike's skill set that separates him from numerous others is his ability make the goal attainable. He has an intuitive teaching method to teach owners how to understand what they need to be doing and working on skills with their dogs in a way that feels manageable, within reach and like they can do it themselves. I can't tell you how many training sessions or consults I left feeling like I had no idea what I was doing and no business managing a reactive dog. After ONE session with Mike, I felt like I had a real handle on what to do with my dog. Not only did Mike rebuild Enzo's confidence, but he built up my confidence as his owner; and that's really where everything begins and ends with handling a reactive dog.

Mike is THE BEST! Our puppy Finn learned SO much- but more importantly- Mike was able to train Finn’s people so we know how to help him continue to progress. Just took Finn for Day 1 of an eight week therapy training. Not long after we started, the trainer pulled us aside and asked about his training. She was amazed and said it was “rare.” She said Finn could pass all three tests for his ALC good citizenship training on Day 1. 🙌🏻 ALL the credit goes to Mike for training both of us so well!

We adopted a 7 month old puppy in January of this year and searched all over for a trainer to help our dog with general obedience and manners. Mike at Woof Works has offered so much more! He is very knowledgeable and his passion for dogs and training is apparent. He has given our dog (and us) many tips and techniques that we will be able to carryover long-term. He has helped with leash training, eye contact, jumping, reactivity to other dogs, communication with our pup, and engaging play techniques. He is incredibly responsive to questions about new dog behaviors and provides great solutions. He definitely earned the trust of our dog -- he loves to go see Mike! Thanks for the training and helping our dog to become the good citizen that he is!
