Since 1994, Y2K9s has grown into one of the Delaware Valley’s premier dog training organizations, offering a comprehensive roster of dog sports and perfect pet classes. Y2K9s’ unique program includes classes in Puppy Preschool, Canine Manners, preparation for the CGC (Canine Good Citizen) test, Agility, Rally Obedience, Disc Dog, Freestyle, Parkour, Nosework, classes that include Therapy Dog training, and more. Classes are taught by experienced trainers who actively compete in their sports, and excel in their individual disciplines.

We offer group and private classes for dogs and their owners. We can train anything from basic obedience, to behavioral problems and therapy dog work.

Training starts with a foundation. A solid foundation of Management, Trust and Relationship. Although there are several methods of training. I provide a service that consists of Positive Reinforcement Training. Training that's reward based. Dog's will learn a behavior when there's a benefit; "something in it for them." I don't use aversive methods which can lead to anxiety or fear later on. Dogs at any age should enjoy learning as much as you should enjoy teaching them to become their natural leader. It's as simple as that! I will teach YOU to teach THEM. All it takes is patience, time and dedication. I teach Puppy Beginner Classes, Advanced Puppy, Manners of all ages along with Private Sessions. Also Virtual On-line Sessions are available.

Off Leash K9 Training is an off-leash dog training business teaching 100% obedience to dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. All of our lead trainers are Certified Professional Dog Trainers (and some of our assistant trainers are as well!) and the owner is both a CPDT and a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant specializing in behavior challenges. The Dog Training Center / Dog Training Club of Chester County is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization serving members and the public since 1975. My passion for training dogs began long before I could pursue a career in it. I started training and showing Rottweilers for confirmation in Junior AKC Rings when I was 12. I continued to compete in this arena until I began to prepare for a career with the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP). When I joined the ranks of PSP in 1999, I did so knowing that I would be pursuing a position in their K-9 Unit. Our trainer, Val Klein, has been endorsed from the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors and is an evaluator for the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen test. Dog obedience classes are held at: 1698 North Main Street Ext, Butler, PA 16001. The 8,000 sq. ft. facility features dog-activity-friendly flooring and a wide selection of state-of-the-art dog training equipment. Our growth and success are based on referrals from past/present students, friends and family members of those students, and many local veterinarians’ offices, all of which we are extremely grateful for! Attending classes, and learning about dogs and dog behavior make our students “part of the family.”
